Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office is dedicated to supporting the goals and purposes of the College. These goals are:

  • to assist with tribal development,
  • to assist with Chippewa Cree cultural development,
  • to develop students academically,
  • to promote Indian resident self-development.

Financial aid comes from the Federal Government, which is the largest provider of aid, as well as state governments, the schools themselves, and a large variety of other public and private sources. While the primary purpose of financial aid is to make post-secondary education financially possible, another purpose is to equalize the cost of attending different institutions. Tuition, book costs and fees must be paid at the time of registration, unless special arrangements are made with the Business Office prior to registration (refer to Student Billing). The following is a source of information concerning Federal financial aid for which you may be eligible. For more information please refer to the U.S. Department of Education website at https://www2.ed.gov/fund/grants-apply.html?src=pn.

The College maintains a program of financial assistance for students whose family resources are not sufficient to meet costs of securing a college education. The Financial Aid department will assist the student in applying for financial aid, if necessary.
