EDU 330 TEACHING AND ASSESSING SOC. STUDIES K-8 CLASSROOM

Teaching Social Studies in the K-8 classroom explores the central concepts related to the teaching of social sciences in K-8 school classroom settings. The course examines issues and methods associated with the teaching of history, geography, economics, civics and government, and other social science topics. Considerations for the teaching of social studies in schools that serve Native students are also analyzed and explored, as is the integration of social science content in other subject areas. Candidates will focus on creating instructional frameworks for the integration of social sciences and other related areas during clinical experience.
